Replacement End Nut for Skewer on Swagman Fork Down Roof Mounted Bike Carrier

Question:

I bought the Swagman roof bike rack a couple of months ago. Part number S64710. I am please with the rack and I think it works great. However, I have lost one of the ends to the skewers. I was wondering if you guys sell a replacement skewer or just the end? I tried to search it on your website and I could not find one.

I do have some great news for you but first, I spoke with my contact at Swagman and I am sorry to say that the skewer or parts of the skewer are not available as separate parts that we can order.

But I tested a different end piece, # Y8820114, and it does fit Swagman bike rack # S64710. It threads on a little more snug than the original but it does thread correctly.

The skewer itself cannot be replaced because it is held in its housing with a clip and there is no access to it.
