Will Trailer Connector on 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser Connect To U-Haul Trailer
Question:
Hi there, I have a 2000 Toyota Land Cruiser and will be attaching a 4x8 U-Haul trailer. I have never used a trailer so I was wondering since my car has the connector on the back does this mean I dont have to go into the wiring of my car to connect my lights to the trailer lights? I have attached a photo of the connector on the back of my car. Would the trailer wiring on your website recommended for my vehicle just plug into the back of my car or do I need an adapter?

Expert Reply:
That looks like you have a 4-way already it just has a cap on the end to protect it. U-Haul trailers use a surge brake actuator and 4-way wiring so you don't need any kind of adapter. The trailer wiring will plug into your existing connection.
