Can a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller Be Moved From a 2015 to 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Question:
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller. I had this in my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I just bought a new 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee with factory tow package. Will my brake controller work with my new Jeep like my prevoius Jeep? Is it compatable?

While you will be able to install a Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 on your 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee the how is difficult to give you an exact answer. It appears the even on some 2024 Grand Cherokees with a factory tow package the connector is not always under the dash. You will want to start by checking behind the removable panel on the left lower kick panel to see if you can find the connector a Harness # 3014-P will plug into. This is the same harness that would be on your 2015 if you had the factory tow package on it as well. If you cannot locate the connector you can contact your dealer to see if this is something they can remedy or if you will need to run Wiring # 5506 to power the brake controller and to tie into the 7-way at the back of your Jeep.

Thank You Bud. I have to search for the plug behind the kick panel. I hope the plug is there. If it is then my Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 will work I assume like on my 2015? Mike
