Replacement Lid For A Fan-Tastic Vent RV Roof Vent

Question:

I own a Big Country 5th Wheel made by Heartland. Model 3895FK. Tornado weather here in TX damaged a fan cover and I need a replacement. It is the fan assembly that sits over the stove. The fan and base are intact. Both metal arms responsible for lifting the cover are also intact. What was damaged is where the metal arm attached into the cover. All I need is the cover, so I screw the metal arm into it. When you look at the picture of the whole assembly with me propping it open, youll see where the metal arm rests that would lift the cover and the placement of the two screws in the cover that would mount the arm. It is where the screws mount into the cover that broke. The plastic that made the screw holes snapped.

Hey William,

To replace the just the lid of your Fan-Tastic Vent RV roof vent you would just need the Replacement Dome for Dometic FanTastic RV Roof Vents # FVK1020-81. If you find that the lift arm is damaged you can replace it with part # FVK8011-05.

If you'd like to protect the vent lid and prevent this from happening again you can also install the Dometic FanTastic Ultra Breeze Trailer Roof Vent Cover # FVU1500WH. This would allow you to leave the vent open during inclement weather and while traveling on the highway without having to worry about the wind resistance ripping the lid off.
