Will I Need New U-bolts If I Go From A 4-Leaf To A 6-Leaf Spring?
Question:
Looking at e94SR 6-leaf 3000 lb axle spring. My Grand Design G21 has 4 leaf springs. Do I need new / longer bolts too?

Hello Ken. I am not sure exactly how long your current U-bolts are, but you will probably be able to re use them. It just depends on how long they are and how much thread is left. Assuming your 4 leaf spring has 3/8" thick leaves it would be 1.5" thick. The # e94SR 6 leaf spring is 2.25" thick so as long as you have another 1" or so of threads left on the current U-bolts they can definitely be re-used. If you find you need something longer, we have the U-Bolt Kit # APUBR-9 which comes with 7-1/16" long U-bolts.
