Installing Tekonsha Prodigy P3 In A 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE Without Factory Tow Package
Question:
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 installed in my 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE, with I think a universal wiring kit from e-trailer. Now I also have a 2022 Toyota HIghlander XLE so Im ordering another one. SInce it didnt come with a hitch Dealership I just bought it from is installing an OEM one for me, I suspect theres ZERO trailer wiring in the car already. What do I need to connect a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 in this car. The trailer has a 7way connector on it. The dealership installed my last one and they will do this one as well.

Hello Paula. To install a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 in your 2022 Toyota Highlander you will just need to install a 7-way harness. I recommend the Tekonsha OEM Replacement Vehicle Wiring Harness # TK57VR. This will come with everything you need to wire your vehicle with a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for connecting your P3 brake controller.
