Installing CE Smith PVC Pipes For Tall Post-Style Guide-Ons
Question:
I recently purcahsed CE11339 Post Style Guides to add to CE Smith Bunk-Style Guide-Ons for Boat Trailers - 24 Long - 1 Pair Item CE27660, I was surprised that there are no instructions to screw these to Bunk Style Guide Ons. Do you recommend using a stainless steel 1/4 - 20 to hold the Post Style Guides on? This is Triton PWC Trailer. Using the Post Guides so I can see the trailer when backing up better. Thanks, Greg

Hey Greg,
The Replacement PVC Pipe for CE Smith 40" Tall Post-Style Guide-Ons # CE11339 is intended to be just slid onto a post and not screwed to it so that it can roll if the boat rubs against it as you loading/unloading. You would need posts like part # CES47FR to correctly install these pipes.
If you're just screwing them # CE27660 for more visibility and not intending for the boat to ever touch them then you'd likely be fine using some 1/4 - 20 stainless steel screws then.
