Shock Kit And Disc Brake Kit For A 2019 Columbus Palomino 298rl

Hello etrailer friends. I have a 2019 Columbus Palomino 298rl 5th wheel that I am considering upgrading with a shock absorber kit and disc brake system. Can you recommend any particular kits for this size 5th wheel?

Hey John, I can definitely point you in the right direction. Your 2019 Columbus Palomino 298rl 5th wheel has two 7,000 lb rated axles correct? The online specs do not specify the axle size, but based on the GVWR I am assuming they are 7K axles so please do confirm this and let me know if you have something different.

If they are indeed 7K axles I recommend that you use Lippert Bolt-On Shock Kit # LC281281 which is made specifically for leaf spring suspension systems with 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb (3") axles.

As far as the Disc brake upgrade kit we offer full conversion kits which will definitely be your best bet.
