Can You Replace 7-Leaf Spring With 6-Leaf Spring on 7,000 lb Axle
Question:
I think this is the spring I need for my 7000 pound axle, but I currently have 7 leafs not 6 on my Jayco Pinnacle 5th wheel. I don’t see any 7 leaf springs. Does it matter? Thanks

Hi Jim,
There will be no issue whatsoever replacing your 7-leaf spring with the 6-leaf Double-Eye Spring for 7,000-lb Trailer Axles - 24-7/8" Long # e64SR.
Technically, the more leaves there are, the more resistance, so leaf springs with more leaves will be a bit more rigid and stiff. If you were going from a leaf spring with 7 leaves to a spring with 2 leaves it's possible you'll notice a slight difference in ride, but going from 7 to the # e64SR with 6 leaves won't have any impact.
