Recommended Weight Distribution Hitch With Sway For a Forest River Flagstaff T19QBHW A-Frame Camper
Question:
Hi, I have an automatic 1999 Infiniti QX4 with a class 3 hitch, 7 way RV connector, Tekonsha Prodigy P3 trailer brake controller and plan to pull a 2300lb empty travel trailer which is a forest river flagstaff T19QBHW. My qx4 manual states anything over 2000 lbs should have sway control. What product do you recommend and do you think I need a weight distributing hitch + sway control? I am not completely sure what the tongue weight will be. I imaging the trailer will weight around 3000pounds loaded.

I do recommend using a weight distribution hitch with sway control on your Forest River Flagstaff T19QBHW. This will make your towing experience much safer by helping to keep your 1999 Infiniti QX4 level. I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0600 as I see your Flagstaff has a dry tongue weight around 341lbs. This hitch is rated for trailers with 250-600lbs of tongue weight and a total trailer weight up to 6,000lbs. Unlike some systems you also do not have to remove any of the sway components before backing up and maneuvering the trailer. You will also need a 2" Ball # A-90 to match the coupler on your camper.
