Roof Rack Capacity for 2014 Ford Escape Titanium
Question:
I have a 2014 Escape Titanium. I have been looking at roof rack crossbars since I have factory installed rails. I looked in the owner manual and they talk about a 45lb limit for the factory crossbars but give no information on the rails. I was wondering if you might be able to tell me what the rating for the rails might be? Thanks

The owner's manual is typically the go to for finding this information. Since the manual says 100 lbs without and 45 lbs with a moonroof that will be your limit for the rails as well. The Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack for Naked Roofs # RR49QR you were looking at will fit but you will not be able to use the full 165 lb capacity. You have to follow the lower capacity from your owner's manual.
