Parts Needed For Towing With 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 AMG
Question:
I have a 2023 Mercedes GLE350 with the AMG trim package. What would I need to order for towing a boat trailer? I would like to install it myself, but I’m not sure if it’s to difficult, or if I need specific tools…on your website you show options for installers. I live in the middle of New Jersey.

Hey Edward,
There is a single option for adding a hitch to your 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLE350 AMG so you can tow your boat trailer, form Stealth Hitches. The correct part is the following:
- Stealth Hitches Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver w/ Towing Kit # SH57GR
The # SH57GR gives you the ball mount and wiring needed for towing, and the cool part about this is that the ball mount can be completely removed when you aren't using it, so your Mercedes won't look like it has a hitch at all.
Keep in mind this comes with a 7-way plug, but most boat trailers don't use a 7-way, they use a 5-way or 4-way, and if that's the case with yours you'd need an adapter; for a 4-way use Adapter # PK12716.
As for install, this is quite an involved process, but can be done by DIYers that are mechanically inclined. Otherwise, we do have an installer locator which I've lined below for you that can help.
