Replacement Tires for Sylvan Sport Go Camping Trailer

Question:

The description of this tire indicates a bias ply construction that’s good for off-road and agricultural uses. I am trying to replace original tires on a Sylvan Sport Go camping trailer that are C-load range, but I would only rarely go off road with this trailer. Should I be looking instead at radial ply tires as almost all of my mileage is on standard roads or highways?

In most cases a radial tire is going to be the best option. Definitely if you're on roads and highways all the time (most people are). However, a 205/65-10 trailer tire like the Loadstar K399 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1HP54 really only comes as bias ply. If that is the only option bias is perfectly fine. It looks like the Sylvan Sport Go Camping Trailer has fenders so getting a larger tire size to switch to radial wouldn't be a good option either.

I did run a search and it looks like radial exists in this size but it is exclusively for golf carts. I would not expect these tires to be rated for highway speed so it wouldn't be a good idea to use them on your trailer. It would be best to stick with a tire designed for trailers like the # AM1HP54 with a max speed of 81 mph.
