Can Plug Be Removed From Back of Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness

Question:

on the Hopkins HM11143384, is it possible to remove/ unplug the 7 pin connector on the back of the mount? I am looking to install the diode dynamics C1R and they include a 7 pin t-harness that goes connects in between the wires and the mount. Thank you very much!

The plug cannot be removed from the back of the connector on the # HM11143384. Installing that Diode Dynamics C1R would require some splicing. To avoid splicing on the C1R wiring harness you could cut off the current connector and splice in the Pollak 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector # PK11898. This would allow you to plug the C1R in-line with the 7-way as intended.
