Difference Between Ducted and Ductless AC Units

Is there a difference in the rooftop unit for a ducted system vs non ducted ?

Expert Reply:
The difference is going to come down to the air distribution box. A ducted system will have registers on the air distribution box to close and redirect air through the ducts. Your typical replacement air conditioner like the # FR26PR or # ADV79FR will work with both since it is just the AC unit and not the air distribution box. If you're looking for a full system replacement the # FR95PV is also compatible with both.
