Suspension Upgrade Kit to Replace 2-5/8" Shackle Straps on Travel Trailer

I just purchased a 2024 Wildwood Heritage Glen 22RKHL and looking at upgrading the suspension equalizer to an equa-flex along with heavy duty shackle straps and wet bolts. Currently the straps are 2-5/8. I am not finding heavy duty straps that are 2-5/8. What is recommended?

Hi Kollin,

That's a good question and you're right there aren't heavy-duty shackle straps that are 2-5/8 inches center to center. But you can still definitely upgrade, and the best option for replacing the 2-5/8" straps is a kit with 2-1/4" shackle straps:

Though these are shorter than what you have, they will allow enough room for the right amount of suspension travel, and are a better option than the longer straps, which would result in excessive movement that can lead to suspension components wearing out far more rapidly.
