How to Quiet a Loud Roof Rack

Question:

Currently have a RVL/RVH Rhino Rack cross bar kit installed on my 2020 Grand Cherokee. Purchase from you 2 years ago. Only have it installed during spring and summer. Once again this year dealing with wind noise issues. Aside from a fairing what can I do to eliminate. Almost to the point of replacing with another brand. I have the vortex strips installed on top. Apparently mine does not require these on the underside. Thanks for your help with thismatter

The only solutions to a loud roof rack are to remove it, install new Vortex strips like item # RRM626, or to install a fairing like the item # RRRF2 you were looking at. No matter what brand you have they are all loud and obnoxious so I don't want to get your expectations up that swapping out your Rhino-Rack for a Yakima or Thule is going to make a significant difference.

The fairings direct the air above the bars so you may want to ensure you have the correct size. I do not see any orders under your name or email address or I would verify the parts you have to make sure you have the right set up.

Thanks Jerred for getting back to me. I was considering switching to the Thule but sounds like it might end up being a lot of money for little results. Just wanted to confirm that the Rhino is comparable to the Thule. Also wanted to verify that mine only takes vortex strips on top. For something to try. I ordered some. 070" o-ring material. Going to spiral wrap on front cross bar. Similar to on attenas. Will see. Thanks again for your response
