Can Fastway e2 Spring Bars Be Swapped for Different Trailers
Question:
I currently have the Fastway e2 2-Point Sway Control Trunnion Hitch, 92-00-1065, 10,000 Lbs Trailer Weight Rating, 1,000 Lbs Tongue Weight Rating. I downgraded trailers and am needing a smaller wdh. Will the trunnion bars on the 6k e2 model fit my current setup or do I need to buy a whole new set up?

Expert Reply:
Yes, you can replace the arms on your 10k system so it has the same rating as the # FA92-00-0600. The correct replacement bars are the # FA92-02-0699. This will give your Fastway e2 a tongue weight rating of 250 lbs - 600 lbs so make sure the tongue weight of your loaded setup falls into that range. If a range of 400 lbs - 800 lbs would be more appropriate you can use the arms from the 8k system # FA92-02-0899.
