Recommended 1 1 /4" Hitch Expander to Be Able to Use the Thule T2 Pro XT
Question:
Hello, I would like to inquire as to whether there is a 2 to 1.25 adapter sold by etrailer.com that is compatible with a Thule T2 Pro XT. I contacted the manufacturer who indicated the shank is not replaceable so hoping there is a solution from etrailer before I look at replacing the bike rack. Thank you! -Ken

Hey Kenneth, so it looks like you should be able to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Adapter # C45770. This adapter would go into your 1 1/4" hitch and expand it to a 2" opening so you can use the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack for 2 Bikes # TH83JV.
Just be aware that whenever you use a hitch adapter like # C45770 you will lose approximately 50 percent of your hitches overall capacity.
