Yakima HD Crossbars Compatible With RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60245 On 2021 Ram 1500

Question:

Hello, I have a ReTrax XR Tonneau on a 2021 RAM 1500, non-multifunction tailgate, non-RAMbox, long bed 64 pickup. It has the T-slot rails. I am looking for crossbars for bike racks. Yakimas OverHaul HD and Outpost HD are nice, but not sure thats the solution I want to carry bikes. I am trying to put together a rack, with about a 78-79inch crossbar width. You are currently out of stock of the Rhino Rack Vortex 79inch crossbars for the next month+. I cant wait that long - too much of the summer will be gone before those even think about shipping to me. I see part Y01159 is the 78inch Yakima HD crossbar pair. Can these be mated to the Yakima Skyline towers Y53TR? Do I need HD Bar SL adapters Y03541? Then, to mount to the Tonneau rails, would I need TWO 2-packs of the Landing Pad 1 Y00221? Finally, I have noticed customers have had clearance issues with the Rhino Rack Vortex kit, and the operation of the ReTrax XR. Note I have measured the lock/ operating handle, and in its unlocked/upright position, the latch extends 3.5inch above the deck height of the rolling Tonneau. I see that customers have used spacers RRQMVA25 - see customers picture of ReTrax latch there for reference too with the Rhino Rack Vortex kit, but is there an equivalent spacer option for the Yakima towers and bars? Thank you

You can use the Yakima HD Crossbars # Y01159 with the SkyLine Towers # Y53TR as long as you use the HD Bar SL Adapter # Y03541. You will need 2 sets of the Landing Pad # Y00221 to connect the towers to the T-Slots in the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60245. The SkyLine tower is going to give you 3" of height while the landing pad for attaching to the t-track will give you another 1" of height so you will have the clearance necessary to clear the latch.
