Solution for Replacing a Torsion Axle on a PWC Trailer

Question:

Thank you Jerred! I'm afraid it is a torsion axle. Is there someplace I can go get that same replacement, or would there be something you have that would be easily retrofitted to my frame (measurements pending, of course). I will admit that despite a lot of mechanical experience, trailer axles are new to me. Thanks, Dan

You're welcome Dan! Sorry we do not have anything to offer that will be a direct replacement of your torsion axle. The only solution I have is to replace it with a axle-less option like the Timbren 2,200 lbs item # ASR1THDS01 or the 3,500 lbs item # TASR35HDS04. These are independent systems that do not require an axle shaft so they fit any trailer width. While they may seem pricey if you are not able to source a replacement torsion axle and have to have one customized these are a comparable option.

Both the Timbren 2,200 lbs item # ASR1THDS01 or the 3,500 lbs item # TASR35HDS04 have quite a few options for hubs so if you would like to move forward with a recommendation all I would need is the bolt pattern of your wheels and the capacity of your current axle.

As far as sourcing a replacement torsion axle. You would need to check with a local trailer dealer.
