Curt 4-Way Vehicle Wiring Harness Continues To Have Trailer Lights On When Ignition Is Switched Off

C56406 I bought the Curt towing harness. After I hooked it up, trailer lights worked. A week later and not working right. Trailer lights are on constant even when ignition off. Where do you suspect problem is? Steve

First thing you will want to check Steve is the settings on your 2020 Jeep Cherokee. Often times the running lights can stay on even after the ignition is switched off which would explain why the Curt Harness # C56406 allows the trailer lights to remain on after the ignition is switched off. Since this harness ties into the tail lights on your Cherokee to get their signal they should operate only when the vehicle lights operate. If the lights on the trailer are coming on when the vehicle lights are off that means the module on the wiring harness is bad and you will need to get a replacement.
