Is a 2-7/8" Wide Channel Going to Allow For a 3" Wide Channel Coupler?
Question:
The Channel width on our trailer is 2 7/8inch is this the same as a 3?

Expert Reply:
I think you may have one of the Curt Channels # CU69FR rather than the more standard 3" wide channel on your trailer. This only fits the Curt SecureLatch Lunette Ring # CU99FR. The Coupler # DM12688-95 you found does require a 3" wide inside channel width. While the parts will sometimes allow for a little play an 1/8" is going to be to much of a difference.
