Generator Requirement for 18k BTU AC Unit, TV and CPAP
Question:
Just bought a 2023 Winnebago Hike 100! with a 18,00 BTU air conditioner. What size generator starting and running wattage do I need? How much more is needed to power the electric outlets to run a cp machine or 24”tv at the same time?

Hey Libby, so a 18k btu AC unit is going to need right at 1,900 watts running and 3,700 watts startup. Most CPAP machines draw between 30 and 60 watts and the TV is most likely right at 68 but it wouldn't hurt to verify. So 2,000 running watts 4,000 starting is going to be about right for you.
So the Champion generator part # CH44FR would be a great choice. It has an inverter for clean power so your TV and CPAP will work well and it can be ran on propane or gas.
