Ball Mount for 2016 Ford Fusion
Question:
Hi. I just installed the hitch on my 2016 Fusion. I have a Harbor Freight 1195 lbs capacity trailer. As I measure it, it looks like Ill need a 9-10 rise ball mount, but I cant seem to find one. Would you be able to point in the right direction? Thanks!

Assuming you are in that 9-10" range you can use the Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 80248. This has a 9-3/4" rise and a gross towing weight of 3,500 lbs which would be perfect for your trailer. You will also need # C40002 for a 1-7/8" ball or # 63845 for a 2" ball.
Just to be sure, I'm going to run through the process to measure for rise/drop. The first thing you need to measure is the hitch height. With the tow vehicle parked on level ground, measure from the ground to the top of your hitch receiver opening. For the coupler height, measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Hitch Height (A) - Coupler Height (B) = Rise/Drop (C).

Hi Robin. Thanks for the reply. According to the description for Mount # 80248, the mount is for a 2" hitch. I'll need something for the 1-1/4" hitch.
