How to Find Correct Electric Trailer Brakes For 2011 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite 5th Wheel

I am looking for the correct electric brake assembly complete brake assembly to replace my worn out brakes on a 2011 Forest River Rockwood Ultralight 5th wheel model 8280WS with 4K axles. Can you point out the right brake assembly for this unit?

Hi Wade; I'm not aware of a 4,000 lb axle so brakes for that aren't something we have. For your 2011 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite the electric brakes we have as a fit are for 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb axles, the Electric Trailer Brakes - Self-Adjusting # AKEBRK-7-SA.

These are fits for 12" diameter x 2" wide drums, and a 5-bolt brake mounting flange. Since there isn't any info we have on a 4k axle, what you'll have to do is measure your drum and take a look at the brake mounting flange you have. If your drum is 12" x 2" and you have a 5-bolt flange, the # AKEBRK-7-SA will still work for you, even though it is rated for 5,200 lb - 7,000 lb axles.
