Help Identifying Plug On Bumper Of A 2021 Ford F-150 & Wiring Harness Options
Question:
Hello. I am needing to get a 4-way and a 7-way on my 2021 Ford F-150. There is a socket looking thing on the bumper that looks like it might be a trailer plug. I opened it up and it looks like it has a keyhole inside? Can you identify this plug and let me know what parts I need? Thank you

Hello Leslie, I can definitely help with this. So, the plug in your picture is not actually an electrical plug at all. The plug you are seeing is for lowering the spare tire. Your remove it with the key to allow access to the spare tire.
Since you do not have any trailer wiring currently you will need two wiring kits for a 4-way and a 7-way. You will need the 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # 18252 as well as the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This will be everything you need to install a 7-way, including all of the necessary wires for a brake controller. If you need a brake controller I recommend the Tekonsha P3 # 90195. Let me know if you have any questions.
