Can Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch be Used with Curt Turning Point Pin Box

Question:

I think I messed up. I have a 2021 RAM 2500 short box. I bought a fifth wheel with a Curt Turning Point Pin Box. I thought Id be smart and get the BandW Companion fifth wheel hitch. I figured with one attachment point i would be easier to take in and out. Trailer weighs 9,000lbs with all our gear and the hitch is rated for 20,000lbs. Will I be good to use the Turning Point box with this set up?

Hey Ryan, I hate to be the bearer of bad news but yeah the single connection point Companion hitches like what you have cannot be used with rotating pin boxes UNLESS you lock them out which turns them into a non-rotating pin box.

So if you have to run your current setup you'd need to lock out the Turning Point to use it with your Companion but you may not have great turning clearance unless the Companion you ordered was a slider.
