Why Would RV Style 7-Way Installed on Vehicle with 7-Way Round No Brake Lights
Question:
I have a truck with a 7 pole trailer plug , they also want a 7 blade RV style plug on the truck for smaller trailers. Everything works but the brake lights on the RV plug. How do I get both plugs to function

Does the 7 pole have separate turn signals from stoplights? That is pretty common on heavy duty applications so it sounds like what you'd need for the RV style 7-way is a signal converter like the part # RM-732 which will combine the circuits like the RV wiring uses instead.
