How to Measure Trailer Frame Angle for Coupler
Question:
I am looking at the Demco EZ trailer hitch coupler for A frame, welded. How do I tell whether i need a 50° or a 30° coupler?

Expert Reply:
You'd just have to physically go out to your trailer and measure the angle. So to do this, you'd need to get a protractor or something similar and place it on the edge of the inside on one side of the trailer frame, and check to see if the other inside edge of the frame is parallel with the 50 degree line on the protractor.
50 degrees is the standard angle for trailer frames, so that's why we recommend you start there. If you do happen to have a 32 degree frame then # DM15633-81 will work great, otherwise # DM16680-52 is what you'll want.
