Recommended Hardwired RV Camera System For A 42' 5th Wheel Trailer

Question:

I have a 42’ 5th wheel camper. This camera system was recommended by you, some wired systems I saw have a coiled cable for disconnect and connecting the wired system from truck to camper inside the bed. What do you recommend?

Hey Kevin,

The wired systems we currently offer come with standard straight cables and would require you to purchase additional extensions in order to cover a 42' trailer and then the length of the vehicle. I personally prefer wireless systems like the Furrion Vision S # FOS05TASF because they are so easy to install versus having to run wiring through the trailer walls.

If you're dead set on using a wired system then I'd go with the Voyager RV Backup Camera System w/ Night Vision # VOM43HDCL1B. No offense to Buyer's Products but I've never been able to get ahold of any of their customer service or tech department people to answer any questions I've had with their other products so based on customer service alone I would not ever use their equipment. Voyager is manufactured by ASA Electronics and they've always been helpful when I've called and offer a large instruction manual database on their website for their products in the event that you need any information.

You'll have to get an extension and use that to split the connection between the trailer and truck. We currently offer the following extension lengths:

10' Long, part # VGR94FR
15' Long, part # CEC15
25' Long, part # CEC25
34' Long, part # CEC34
50' Long, part # CEC50
75' Long, part # CEC75
