Does Trailer Tire with More Weight On it Affect PSI
Question:
Bought new boat trailer tires and rims, aired up to maximum pressure and sat in garage for a day. Put them on the next day they were about 3 psi low. Is this because they werent under the load of the boat?

Hey Vinny, it's probably a temperature difference that causes the pressure to be lower. For an easy way to approach it I would just check the pressure at the beginning of the day and make sure it's at the max rating and then just tow like you normally would.
Tire pressure will not change with a load on the tire or not UNLESS the tire is overloaded and failing.
