What Info is Needed to Pick Out Replacement Trailer Leaf Spring

Question:

Hey guys I need a leaf spring for my trailer. Can you guide me to the correct replacement part? Seems to me its a 3500lb spring. Its a double -eye that measure 25 center to center. Does that sound correct? Or could it be a 24 and its measuring 25 because of my equipment inside? I didnt know if 25 was a common length, but thats exactly what its reading right now. The leafs are 1 3/4 wide and a total of 4. Albeit, the bottom one is only about 8 long, but I assume it still counts as a leaf? I believe that is all the specs you need but if you need more, just let me know! Thank you. John

Hey John, so you ideally measure the length of the leaf spring when there isn't a load on it. So that would mean your need something shorter than 25 inches. The closest option would be the part # e59SR which is 23-1/8 inches and is for a 3,500 lb axle. Normally when springs are worn out they stretch out and are longer since the spring flattens so there's a good chance this would work but it would need to be less than 24 inches when there's no load on the spring.
