Is The Curt 7-Way # C68JR Able To Handle More Power Than The Factory Harness on a 2022 Kia Telluride
Question:
Hi, I was wondering if this can handle a higher amp draw than the factory harness. I have a Telluride with the tow package but when I turn the lights on in the running lights go out on the trailer. I tried a brand new Telluride and the same thing happens. I suspecting that the module cant handle the load of the trailer. So is this heavier duty than the o.e. one?

While I can not speak for the amount of power the OE harness on your 2022 Kia Telluride can handle I do know the Curt # C68JR is rated for 10amps per circuit on the Stop/Turn lights, running lights and reverse circuits. The Charge line is rated to 30amps and the trailer brakes circuit is rated up to 20 amps. Typically most aftermarket options are going to be built to handle more than a factory option.
