Why Does the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack Fit Some Vehicles With Spoilers But Not Others

Why does the ex 2 bike rack not fit the 2012 Nissan Rouge with a spoiler, but seems to fit other SUV vehicles with spoilers?

The reason the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack # SAR83FR works with some vehicles with spoilers and does not work with a 2012 Nissan Rogue is because the spoiler is too wide.

This rack will work with 90% of vehicles that have spoilers out there, but in certain cases the spoilers are too wide and won't give the rack good contact with the back of the hatch.

So because your 2012 Nissan has that wide spoiler, you're locked to using the SeaSucker Komodo Bike Rack # 298-BK1910-BK for a trunk rack.

You could always add a hitch # e98846 and use a trunk mounted bike rack # S64683 if you wanted to avoid that trunk situation all together.
