Hitch Adapter Needed To Tow A Travel Trailer And Haul A Bike Rack With A Ford F-350

Question:

I have an F350 hauling a 33foot Classic Airstream with a sway bar/hitch configuration. Could I use a dual hitch to also haul an e-bike and rack combined weight about 150 pounds?

Hey Scott,

With the majority of dual hitch receivers being specifically for flat towing or not being compatible with weight distribution hitches you'd have to use a Gen-Y stacked receiver like the Gen-Y # 325-GH-624 (2-1/2" trailer hitch) or # 325-GH-1724 (3" trailer hitch). This would have the capability to handle to workload from the trailer as well as create enough space to mount a bike rack or any other hitch mounted accessory that you need to haul. Most other adapters also reduce the overall capacity of the trailer hitch by 50%, but with a Gen-Y stacked receiver you won't have this issue.
