Should B&W Continuum PSI Drop & Should it be Low

Question:

Hi my name is Joe. I own a 2021 Ford F150 4WD Supercrew, It dosent have maximun tow package. the towing capacity is 11600 Lbs. I purchased a B and W Continuum weight distribution hitch from you and installed it following the instruction that came with it. I have two questions about it. First, i have to set the pressure at 2000 psi to have it set up right. that leaves about 1 inch of the ram exposed but i noticed that when i try to pump it up over 2000 psi it consistinly drops back immediately to 2000 psi. It doesnt matter how many times i pump it is drops back to 2000 psi. The second question is the height of the weight distribution bars rests at 7 inches above the gorund when i bring it to where it needs to be to distribute the weight properly to factory specs. It seems too low for me and i am worried that it will bottom out while driving on the road under certain conditions. Is this normal for this set up.

Hey Joe, thanks for the purchase of the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution # BW88FR and both things you are seeing are normal, as there is a limiter in the pressure relief valve. As for the ground clearance, that is also normal, though I completely understand the concern. We brought that up with B&W when they were here showing this to us and insisted that they did not have a single issue in many thousands of miles of testing.
