Recommended Wheel/Tire Upgrade for a 4.80-12 Tire On a Jet Ski Trailer
Question:
Hello, I want to upgrade my 4.80x12 tires/rim to a wider tire and maybe a spoke rim instead of the galvanized. It’s a lightweight single jet ski trailer but my stand up race ski is about 500 lbs and expensive. So I don’t trust these narrow tires on long drives or high speeds. And the bouncing sucks on potholes. Any suggestions?

Brian, the Karrier ST175/80R13 Radial Trailer Tire with 13" Galvanized Wheel # AM31952 would be a massive upgrade assuming you have the clearance for it.
Comparatively this tire is going to be about 1.2" wider, 2.9" taller, and an inch thicker than your current tires which should help ease your mind when you're hauling your race ski.
