Roof Rack For 2018 Mini Cooper 2-Door With Bare Roof

Question:

I have a 2018 MINI Cooper S Hardtop 2 Door with a bare roof. I am looking into some type of solution that would accomodate the Thule Hullavator Pro and the Thule UpRide. MINI lists the width of my car as 68 inch and I know I need a 4 inch clearance on both sides for the Hullavator. Are there any roof rack options that would work for me?

Hey Aloisia (which is a very cool name btw); thanks for the question and I checked with all our manufacturers and found there is actually only one roof rack that will work on your 2-door 2018 Mini Cooper with a bare roof, but it won't accommodate the Hullavator, I'm sorry to say. The only rack you can add to your Mini is the SeaSucker Monkey Bars Roof Rack # 298-SX6000B.

These are 48 inch crossbars and will allow you to mount the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack # TH599000 which is 13 inches wide, and you can even still use a saddle kayak carrier like the Yakima Kayak Carrier # Y04083-04082.
