Will the RockyMounts MonoRail Be Able to Handle a 55 lb e-Bike

Question:

Hello, I am looking to purchase the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo Bike Rack for 1 Bike - 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches - Wheel Mount from you, but I do have a question - I have 2022 Toyota Highlander LE with OME 2inch hitch on it - there is only one hole for the pin and it is 1 1/4inch from the edge. The location of the whole on the rack does not leave a lot of the shank inside the receiver.... Is it enough to carry a 55lb ebike? Or will I need to modify the rack flip the adaptor and drill new hole further from the racksfoot end, or can I order the rack with the hole drilled at a specified location? Please advise, Paul.

Don't worry Paul, the RockyMounts MonoRail Solo Bike Rack # RKY10007 will work fine with your OEM hitch on your 2022 Toyota Highlander.

I know it might not look like enough of the shank is in the receiver tube, but as long as you're using a class II or III hitch (which you are) then this rack will be perfectly capable of handling your 55 lb e-bike.
