Should SwayPro 1,000 lb Spring Bars Be Upgraded For Trailer With 946 lb Dry Tongue Weight
Question:
I have a BXW0750, and I am upgrading to a new trailer 6836 lb trailer that has a tongue weight of 946lbs dry. Would the 1000lb spring arm be okay, or should I go with the 1500 lb.

You definitely want to upgrade the spring bars on your SwayPro # BXW1000. This system is designed for a tongue weight of 750-1,000 lbs so you're almost outside of that range without loading anything. If this is a travel trailer you're going to have batteries and propane added on which will have you sitting right at the max.
The # BXW4008 will change your tongue weight range to 1,000-1,500 lbs so you will be covered when empty and once you load the trailer. I do recommend measuring the tongue weight of your fully loaded setup just to be sure. You can use a scale like the # e99044 or use one of the methods outlined below. You also need to account for the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your tow vehicle.
