How Do I Figure Out What Hub And Bearings I Need For My Enclosed Trailer?
Question:
I have a enclosed trailer I want to get get a spare hub, bearings and seal set up for going on a trip. I do have a pic of the vin number of the trailer. How do I figure out what parts I need?

Hey Nicholas, I can definitely point you in the right direction. Unfortunately, there is no database that we can reference that would tell us hub or bearing specs based on the VIN number. Only the manufacturer of the trailer could provide that kind of info. In order to recommend hubs and bearings we would need the following information:
- Axle weight capacity
- Hub bolt pattern
- Inner and outer bearing numbers/sizes.
There should be a tag on the axle that shows the weight capacity. The best way to know the bearing sizes is to pull a hub and remove the bearings. Each bearing will have a number stamped on the edge. If you can provide me with that info I can send you a list of the parts you will need.
