Transmission Cooler Recommendations For a 2021 Ford Bronco

Question:

planning to the factory heat exchanger in my 2021 bronco 10r60 and replace it with an air to oil one which will be mounted in front of the radiator. This is a diy project as I haven't found any kits to do this. Why because the trans heats up to 240dg and higher when slow up hill going and driving in low range in deep snow. I know this common practice in Australia with ford rangers. Also talked to my local ford dealer shop foreman and he didn't see a problem with this as the trans has an internal thermostat. All that said what size cooler would you recommend and what type, fin plate or tube type.

Personally I feel the plate fin coolers are superior and the Derale # D13503 will be large enough for your 2021 Ford Bronco. If you are wanting a cooler with a fan we do have the Flex-a-lite # FLX600029. This may be better in situations where you are driving rather slow since the fan can push air through the cooler to help lower the temperature of the transmission fluid.
