Base Plate and Parts Needed To Tow a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee With Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar
Question:
I have a StowMaster 5000 tow bar and am trying to figure out what I need to hook it up to my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Currently, The StowMaster 5000 appears to have a crossbar built in but mine is missing the large pins for securing it to the vehicle or if it is compatible with my Jeep. I do not have any base plates and I do not know which ones to get. I have seen some Jeeps with off-road front bumpers and D-Rings hooked straight up to a tow-bar. Is this a viable option as well? Please advise what products I need to get this thing hooked up. Many thanks!

Since you have the StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 you will need the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate # RM-521440-4 for your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Since you do not have the vehicle side brackets you will also need the Roadmaster Tow Bar Quick Disconnect Brackets # RM-222 to make everything connect.
Depending on what all parts you already have we do also have the Wiring Kit # RM-15267 to wire in your tail lights to function off the motorhome and the Braking System # HM39524. If you need any additional help with any parts you may need Josh, please let me know.
For the Bumper style D-Ring connection you would need a different set of tow bars and need to verify the bumper is flat towing compatible.
