Recommended Bike Rack for a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze With a Class I Hitch

Question:

Looks like the only hitch available for 2012 Chevy Cruze is 1 1/4. My current bike rack is for a 2inch receiver. Would a 1 1/4inch to 2inch adapter work or would the extra length for the extension cause a problem? ie would it be more likely to hit the ground? I see an adapter that steps up, would that be more appropriate? Thank you

Hey Matt, so whenever you use a hitch extender with a hitch you'll effectively reduce it's capacity by 50% and unfortunately class I hitches don't have much capacity to begin with so that'd basically leave you with no capacity.

Really you need to swap out your current rack with one that will work with your class I hitch # TH934XTR which would work with your hitch and allow you to carry all your bikes without sacrificing any capacity.
