Comparing Draw-Tite Hi-Rise and Demco Recon 5th Wheel Hitches

Question:

I see you have a video showing the Drawtitle 9480 but you dont sell them. Is there a reason? Too many problems..as I havent read many good reviews. I am leaning toward the demco recon, which you carry and have a lot of good reviews. This mostly a curiosity question as the demco is rated higher too. Thank you

The Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter 9480 isn't available through us anymore simply because it has been discontinued by the manufacturer.

The Demco Recon Gooseneck-to-5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Adapter # DM8550045 is a much better option because it not only has a better jaw system, but the way it attaches to gooseneck hitch balls makes it much more universal when it comes to fitment. Even if the Hi-Rise was still in production I would definitely be recommending the Recon over the Hi-Rise because it's the better 5th wheel hitch.
