Hey Gary,
To install a Curt 5th wheel trailer hitch in the bed of your 2021 Ram 1500 with a 6.5' bed you'll first need some base rails. For this I recommend the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Ram # C16307-204. These will place the first base rail 28 7/8" from the tailgate end of the bed so that the jaws of the hitch sit over the axle to properly handle the weight of the trailer.
Since you have a 6-1/2' bed I highly recommend going with a sliding 5th wheel hitch to give yourself the option for more turning clearance during tight turns. For this I recommend the Curt A16 # C16521. This hitch has 12" of travel to help prevent the nose of your trailer from contacting the cab of the Ram when making tight turns.
