Recommended Weight Distribution System for a Trailer w/ a 1,040 lbs Tongue Weight

Hello, i have an older reese hitch but not sure if it will be suffice to use on my new camper, its 7,000lbs with tongue weight of 1,050. Can you identify from picture , if not what would you recommend

Thanks for the picture! It looks like a Reese head for a weight distribution system but I have no idea what it is without a part number which means I can not give you an accurate answer or even an educated guess as to its capacity. You may want to check the spring bars if you still have them for serial numbers or markings stamped into them. The best I can do is recommend a replacement weight distribution system since you already know what your trailer's tongue weight is.
For a trailer with an 1,050 lbs tongue weight, I recommend the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System w/ Sway Control - Trunnion item # RP66560. This system has built in sway control that will help keep your trailer in line with your tow vehicle when you are going down the highway and make a sudden move or get passed by a semi.
This system does not include a hitch ball. Depending on your coupler size you will either need a 2" Hitch Ball item # A-90 or a 2-5/16" hitch ball item # C40030.
