Base Rails for 2004 Silverado 1 Ton Dually That Don't Require Drilling Holes in Frame

Question:

Im ready to buy the bracket kit C16418 for a fifth wheel hitch setup. My truck is a 2004 Silverado 1ton dually. Is there a bracket made especially for duallys. It appear that I will have to drill my frame with the above bracket. I just want to make sure there wasnt another choice.

The only rails that won't require drilling a hole in your frame on either side are the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552012-71. This kit mounts to the existing holes in your frame. The only tradeoff is the higher price point. If you don't mind the additional cost then this is the way to go. If you would like to save some money and don't mind drilling 2 extra holes then I would stick with the # C16418-204
