How to Pick Out the Correct Rated Jack for a Trailer

Question:

Im looking to buy a sidewind jack. This may sound like a stupid question, but...in your description a weight is listed. I assume that means the weight of the boat that the sidewind jack is capable of holding? Thanks.

The capacity for our jacks is based on how much tongue weight your trailer will see. For example the Pro Series Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack # PSEJ10000101 has a capacity of 1,000 lbs. If you trailer has less tongue weight than 1,000 lbs this jack would work well for you.

If you are unsure of your tongue weight check out the FAQ article I attached regarding determining tongue weight.
